Course Description

This course is two-fold; we will learn about international opportunities and immigration programs in Canada.
We travel for many reasons (vacation, school, professional development, family, love). We will use social media tools (TikTok, SnapChat, Instagram), internet resources to enrich research skills and develop a strong knowledge of how to travel smartly.
Additionally, Canada is well knowing for immigration and many travel here for the abovementioned reasons and others. In this section we will, learn about some of the programs that Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada offers, develop methods to improve them and design a new program.
In this interactive course we will use social media and research skills to find and learn about programs and opportunities. We will end the week with Model GOC; where there will be a simulation to solve an immigration issue for Canada! Students will perform roles of the PM, MP, Canadians, Local Economy leaders etc.
This course is activity based with short discussions sessions.
