Course Description
This course introduces students to a conversation on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer studies from an anthropological perspective. It explores different sites to understand how specific practices related to gender, race, sex, sexuality and socio-economic status are produced, reproduced and circulated in Canadian dominant society.Objectives:
-To become familiar with the basic terms and concepts related to LGBTQ Studies.
-To introduce students to the association of LGBTQ studies with intersectional approaches.
-Learn concepts to apply them in everyday life.
