Over the five days, students will have an opportunity to experience an enriched learning atmosphere engaging with Indigenous pedagogies and worldviews while working with community members and cultural practices. Students will walk away learning more about First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities on Turtle Island, understanding positionality and the process of settler colonialism, institutional anti-Indigenous racism, intergenerational trauma and healing, and practicing allyship. This course is open to Indigenous and non-Indigenous learners.
